Benjamin Kurz Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C. Disability Scholarship WinnerSOUTHFIELD, MI – December 21, 2020 – Buckfire Law is pleased to announce Benjamin Kurz of Williamsburg, Virg., has been named this year’s recipient of the 2020 Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C. Disability Scholarship.

Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C. is committed to helping students reach their goals. Realizing the financial roadblock many students face in pursuit of higher education, the family-owned firm established an annual scholarship award in 2013 committed to helping students with disabilities or injuries in the pursuit of their degree.

Kurz is pursuing a double major in history and mathematics at The College of William & Mary.

Kurz has dealt with health concerns that first began when he was in high school and intensified while he was attending Cadet Basic Training at the United States Military Academy. Although these issues were debilitating at one point in his life, he didn’t let that stop him from working hard to achieve his goals.

“I was impressed by Benjamin’s drive and honesty,” said Lawrence J. Buckfire, President and Lead Trial Attorney at Buckfire Law. “Benjamin is an inspiration to us all, and I couldn’t be prouder to name him our Buckfire Law Disability Scholarship winner this year.”

Every year, Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C. awards one student with the $1,000 Disability Scholarship. The scholarship is available to students of any age, with any type of disability, including but not limited to physical disabilities, medical conditions, mental or psychiatric conditions, speech and language, learning disabilities, behavioral conditions, and all other conditions.

Founded in 1969 by David Buckfire, Buckfire & Buckfire P.C. represents clients injured in all types of accident and injury cases. The firm offers four separate academic scholarships annually for students wanting to continue their education. For more information on the scholarship program, visit our page.
