Buckfire Law is pleased to announce the 2025 winners of their scholarship programs:

  • Sean Abercrombie, of Alpharetta, Georgia, has been named this year’s recipient of the 2025 Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C. Disability Scholarship. Abercrombie was 16 years old when he became paralyzed in an accident, but he has focused on adapting to the physical and mental changes while fully committing to his education and passion for the medical field. He is currently majoring in kinesiology at the University of Alabama.
  • Abigail DeMonte, of Farmingville, New York, has been named this year’s recipient of the 2025 Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C. Law School Diversity Scholarship. DeMonte is a third-year law student and a first-generation Hispanic student in the legal field. She is currently enrolled at Touro Law Center.
  • Lisa Huang, of Voorhees, New Jersey, has been named this year’s recipient of the 2025 Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C. Medical School Diversity Scholarship. Huang is a first-generation college student and the first in her family to pursue medicine. She is currently a third-year medical student enrolled at the Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine.
  • Crystal Jacobs, of Fort Worth, Texas, has been named this year’s recipient of the 2025 Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C. Paralegal Scholarship. Jacobs is earning her Paralegal Studies degree to support organizations advancing criminal justice reform, while advocating for children and families impacted by incarceration. She is currently enrolled in Tarrant County College’s Paralegal Studies Program.

Throughout the past decade, Buckfire Law has offered four separate academic scholarships annually for students seeking to continue their education. As of 2025, Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C. has awarded more than $100,000 in scholarships.
