Lawrence J. Buckfire has been named a Super Lawyer since 2013, celebrating his 12th year on the list.

Super Lawyers, part of Thomson Reuters, rates the service of outstanding lawyers in more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.

The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes peer nominations and evaluations, as well as independent research by the organization. Lawyer candidates are evaluated on separate indicators of recognition and achievement.

The Super Lawyers Rising Star award recognizes outstanding attorneys under the age of 40 or those with less than 10 years of experience who have demonstrated high-quality legal skills and professional achievement.

Each year, no more than 5 percent of the total lawyers in each state are selected to the Super Lawyers list, and 2.5 percent are named as Rising Stars. Buckfire Law is honored to have four of our attorneys named as Michigan Super Lawyers or Rising Stars.
