Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C. is a personal injury firm founded on the principles of compassion, professionalism, and perfectionism; as well as educating others and providing individuals with educational opportunities. Since 2014, Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C. has annually selected a student for their Disability Scholarship Program and their attorneys work with families on birth injury, brain injury, and accident cases. Our attorneys found to give back to the community in a new way, through the Special Education Hero Nomination. Education is one of the cornerstones of society and as such, it is important to support those individuals that dedicate their lives to educating others!
The Special Education Hero Nomination was a way for the attorneys to help our local Special Education teachers that work with and help students succeed. By creating curriculum and coursework tailored to individual differences and needs, these teachers are providing their students with the invaluable opportunity to learn and grow. Through this award, Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C. donated $250 to the selected teacher’s Special Education program and an additional $250 to the non-profit of the teachers’ choice.

Our first winner, Kathy Gross, and her Unified Special Olympics Basketball team from Loyola High School in Detroit with new uniforms purchased with our donation. Her team is currently undefeated too!
