Ann Arbor Rollover Car Accident
A Farmington Hills car accident tragically occurred as a man was trying to save his wife. David Shu-Kin Kwok and his wife Erika Kwok were returning items they had checked out to the Farmington Community Library when Erika fell. David jumped out of his car to help her since she was pregnant, but he did not put the car in park before he got out of it. David braced his body against the van to keep it from rolling over Erika, but he was trampled instead. A bystander jumped in the car and put it in park. David died in the accident, while Erika was listed in fair condition at Beaumont Hospital. Her unborn child is doing fine according to reports.
This accident is a real tragedy and I am extremely sorry it happened. I hope that Erika Kwok is able to recover and give birth to a healthy baby. I am very sorry David Kwok died in such a heroic attempt to save his wife and child.
It is never easy to deal with a sudden death, but at a time like this, the family must be wondering how they will deal with medical bills and funeral costs, which are probably significant. Many people do not realize that their No Fault insurance is supposed to pay in this situation. Although this will not bring David back, Michigan No Fault insurance benefits will be able to provide a great deal of support to the family over the course of the next three years.
No Fault benefits pay all medical bills that arose because of a car accident. In fact, the only limit on medical expenses is that the expenses must be reasonable and necessary in relation to the accident. In addition, No Fault insurance will pay a portion of lost wages up to a certain amount that changes each year to keep pace with inflation. The family could also collect payments for household replacement services and attendant care. Erika can even submit a survivor loss claim for her husband to get a payment for part of his funeral.
Although the duration of these payments will be at most three years, No Fault insurance can help stabilize the family's expenses in the short term and help relieve them of one worry as Erika concentrates on recovering from her injuries and raising her children.
An experienced Michigan car accident lawyer can help assemble the proper documents to support a No Fault claim and advise the family of all other rights they might have in this tragic situation.

The insurance company refused to pay my benefits. Mr. Buckfire filed a lawsuit against them and made them pay every penny that they owed... Every time I see my doctor, I thank her again for the referral to Buckfire & Buckfire.

Because of his efforts, we proved that the other driver was at fault and the driver's insurance company paid a significant settlement for our injury claims... Hiring his firm to represent my son and myself was the best decision I could have possibly made. Many thanks for the great work.

My husband died when a truck left the roadway and struck him. He was off the shoulder of the roadway helping another motorist pull his car out of a snow bank The work that they did helped me settle my Michigan wrongful death case for $1,600,000.00. Their knowledge of law was second to none and they hired the best experts to prove my case.
